How much will I get?
The State Pension is paid to anyone who has made at least ten years’ worth of National Insurance contributions during their working lifetime. The full rate of the new State Pension will be £179.60 per week (in 2020/21) (£9,339.20 a year), but how much you get depends on how many years you contributed for. To check your State Pension forecast, go to www.gov.uk/check-state-pension.
You may also be able to apply for National Insurance credits or pay voluntary National Insurance to boost your State Pension, although the best options will depend on your individual circumstances.
